Before we all head off to celebrations and a well-earned respite with family and friends, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the contributions you all make to the success of the Delta School District, and to the success of our learners.
I would like to acknowledge our newly elected Board of Trustees. Your work supports partnership and collaboration in Delta, and I am looking forward to a successful and productive year ahead.
I am grateful for our District leadership team, administrators, teachers, and all our staff who work in our schools and offices. Your commitment to excellence and our District Vision ensures that all our students are safe and will have the success required to contribute their full potential to the future.
To our parents, I am grateful to you for masterfully doing what I know firsthand is the most rewarding of jobs. Your dedication ensures your children are fully prepared and empowered to contribute their personal best to society and become tomorrow’s citizens and leaders.
Finally, I am grateful for our students. Visiting our schools and classrooms is one of my greatest joys. The generosity of spirit, and the humour and kindness you bring to your learning continuously inspire me.
Together we are making a difference in the learning experiences and opportunities for each of our students.
I hope you will take a moment over the holidays as well, to think about the many ways in which you have contributed to the success of our students, families, and your colleagues. I appreciate all that you do to make Delta School District such a wonderful place to learn, grow, and work.
