Students showcased their incredible creativity at South Park Elementary’s second annual No Carving Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Organized by Teacher-Librarian Jeanine Crombie, students were invited to design a pumpkin to resemble a character from a book and to decorate them without carving them.
107 students took part in this year’s contest. Congratulations to Asher from Primary and Kismet from Intermediate who were crowned the winners for their fabulous Mr. Messy and Scaredy Squirrel designs. They each received a $20 Golden Ticket to spend at the school’s Fall Book Fair and a lunchtime movie party in the library with up to five of their friends.
