Looking ahead to the beginning of Kindergarten in September, many parents may be anticipating some anxiety for their children. We know that separation anxiety is a normal part of many children’s early experiences and that COVID-19 has significantly changed our day-to-day lives in significant ways. We know that for many families children have not participated in nearly as many programs and events outside their families as they typically would have. It’s more than understandable that kids (and their parents alike) may be experience some unease about starting school.

Fortunately there are many things we can do to prepare for a smooth start to school in September and to help our kids when they do experience anxiety.

At the workshop we will learn together about separation anxiety and share ideas and resources. Parents will begin to develop a plan that fits for them and their child.
